A STEM Introductory Unit in Anatomy/Physiology, Critical Thinking & Problem Solving
Time Required: 2-3 Class Periods (2-3 Hours)
Learn about the human skeletal system in a way that is creative, hands-on and engaging. Students will create their own individual skeletons from common household materials. This unit of interesting activities and other resources will allow for a basic lesson. In addition, extension activities will provide opportunities for a deep dive into the amazing and resilient skeletal framework that enables us to stand upright and walk wherever we need to go.
The unit is for STEM educators who teach a range of grade levels and who wish to differentiate their instruction to meet various ability levels within their classrooms. Activities included are adaptable for both Grades 2-4 and Grades 5-8.
